Measurement, Music and More...

We were again doing lots of measuring and problem solving  at Discovery time today. Lots of different measuring tools came out- scales, cups, spoons, bottles, jugs.
Lots of children enjoyed working with Judi to solve the problem "How many bottles of drink would we need so that all 40  children in Rooms 6& 7 could have a drink?".
First we measured how many cupfuls were in a bottle and then we had to use our addition skills to work out how many bottles we would need for the whole class!
We carefully measured half a teaspoon of drinking powder into a cup and mixed our own drinks! Mmm- very refreshing on such a lovely warm day!

We solved more problems through experimenting!

The scales came out so we could compare the weights of 2 or more objects!
We had lots of fun trying to balance an orange with teddy bears!

We enjoyed getting outside in the sunshine.
Mr Mullan even came along to help teach us to skip!
Thank you Naomi who came along and got us making awesome music!
We have a group of very enthusiastic young guitar and ukelele players emerging!

Well done James!
A very caring and helpful young man who is clever at making cubes using paper templates!
